Pursuit of Happiness

What is happiness? Have you ever thought about it…like the true meaning of happiness? The textbook logic states that happiness is a feeling of gratification when everything is good. With that being said, some would argue that happiness is a matter of perception. What makes one person happy may differ from the next. Take two small children for example. One child may light up like the sun when he or she grabs their favorite toy to play with, whereas the other child may smile and be at peace simply by watching his or her favorite cartoon. Perception is the key. Never compare someone else's happiness to your own. Things will never measure up. Collectively, we have to discontinue this asinine behavior of comparison and work solely on our individuality. To be happy, we have to learn ourselves. It's not an easy task, but it is definitely worth the reward.
What makes your soul happy?
